Fortress Malta, Nicolas Trudgian

Summer 1942: Spitfire Mark VBs of 249 Squadron encounter a fighter escort including Me109s. The vital port of Valletta was a frequent target for the JU88s of the German Luftwaffe, and keeping Malta in Allied hands was very much down to the gallant efforts of the RAF squadrons.
